Morphine in blue poppy

This year in March objections of the food monitoring let listen attentively because of super elevated morphine content in blue poppy. Trip for the investigations was the case of a mother, which gave to her child blue poppy stirred into warm milk, in order to calm it down. Apparent this measure missed the intended effect and the child had to be in-supplied to the hospital with heavy cycle complaints. The reason was the morphine content in the blue poppy. The Federal Ministry for nutrition, agriculture and consumer protection therefore suggests that only poppy seeds with a morphine content of 4mg/g or less is negotiable without restriction. With higher contents determine special arrangements.

Black Pepper

Due to arisen micro-biological problems (in particular Salmonella) uncovered through our regulated strict inspections of incoming goods, we have decided to offer and supply you exclusively only steam-sterilized black pepper. This is a contribution for more product security, which benefits in the long run you as our customer. Extra costs of 40 ct/kg often lead to competition distortions, but the security of our products is us value.
